I have the largest selection of unregistered Pygmy and Nigerian Dwarf goats in the U.S. Pygmy goats are wonderful! They stay cute, eat weeds, forbs, and grass. The Pygmy goat is used for milk, meat, and as pets. It is the most versatile of the goat breeds. They can also be used for brush clearing. The Pygmy goat is hardy, alert and animated, good-natured and gregarious; a docile, responsive animal, a cooperative provider of milk, and an ecologically effective browser. The Pygmy goat is an asset in a wide variety of settings, and can adapt
to virtually all climates. |
My husband and I raise unregistered Pygmy goats as well as registered & unregistered Nigerian Dwarf goats. We specialize in variety in both size and color. WE ARE LOCATED IN SEGUIN, TEXAS! The male can either be left as a 'Billy' or be 'fixed' and made a wether which is what we recommend if you are interested in a pet. Goats are social animals and become lonesome by themselves. They need to 'buddy' up with other pygmy goats or some other animal. Please do not buy one if he will be alone.
There are several advantages if you purchase goats from me.
While at my place, I will answer any questions you may have on care and raising
of your newest members of your family. Goats seldom need to visit the vet, and
most health issues can be handled with medications sold 'over the counter'.
Few medications are labeled 'for goats', hence the difficulty in knowing what
products to buy, and how much to give because the information for using it on a
goat is not on the label. Once you purchase goats from me, you are welcome to
give me a call about medications or birthing for the life of the goat. All kids are wormed before
they leave my property. I will also give any kid that I sell a home if
your
situation changes, and you need to find your goats a new
home.
Below the pygmy goats,
you will find pictures of my working dogs. All
of my dogs are either CKC or AKC registered.

Here is a picture of some of my nannies. When this picture was taken, all my billies were on a different property so no males in this group. |
Our Breeding Males - 2011-2012
|
|
|
These are my breeding males for the 2011-2012 breeding season. Far left is tiny "Pepto II". He will be smaller full grown, than his dad "Pepto", who was only 16" tall at the shoulder. 2nd from left is "Esau". He is small and blue-eyed. 3rd is "Splash". 4th billy from the left is "Samson". He is a registered Nigerian Dwarf. The 5th billy is "Stud Muffin". The last billy on the right is "Google". He is a registered Nigerian Dwarf billy. |
Introducing "Pepito" & "Pepto II"!
If you have watched my web page, you are familiar with our tiniest breeding billy, "Pepto". (16" tall at the shoulder) In 2010, I started breeding to have a replacement for Pepto when he retired. Unfortunately, Pepto unexpectedly died late 2010. The blessing is that Pepto had already bred several of my tiniest nannies. Two of Pepto's sons are super tiny and I was not able to choose one to be Pepto's replacement, so I am keeping both billies and they will share one herd! Both billies are out of Pepto, so these kids will carry Pepto's genes, PLUS really small genes from their respective moms. You will note that "Pepto II" looks JUST LIKE HIS DAD. I am excited to see the babies from "Pepito" and "Pepto II" this spring!

I am asked about 're-homing' of animals. I always will take back any goat that I sell. If the goat is a female, she will stay with one of my herds. If the goat is a male, I will try and find a home for him. I will do the same for other people if they are Pygmy or Nigerian Dwarf goats (only). You do have to bring me the goat. This is 're-homing' not a buy back.

SHIPPING INFORMATION
I am frequently contacted about shipping of goats. I do not make arrangements to ship goats. You may contact Continental Airlines (1-800-575-3335) and obtain information about shipping pygmy goats .
Another option is to privately contact Ron Keener to transport your shipment. His web site is http://travelwithronk.com/. He has a yahoo travel group. All required veterinary certificates would be an additional expense.
A third option is http://www.pawsnclaws.org/. They have a fixed price posted on their web site and can usually have shipment to your door within 2 weeks. They will not transport 'bottle' babies. This is a new transport service for me. I have NOT transported with them before but their correspondence has been fast, professional, and cordial.

King Ranch Collectibles - "Running W"
I grew up in Kingsville, Texas the home of the world famous King Ranch. My father had a photography studio there. Over the years, my father collected King Ranch memorabilia. Among the items that I have is a new handmade King Ranch saddle blanket. A brand new unused saddle blanket is very rare. This blanket was woven by Emiliano Garcia on his hand-built loom from the wool of dark brown and white sheep raised on the King Ranch. The sheep were hand sheared and the wool spun on the Ranch. Emiliano made all the King Ranch saddle blankets from 1920 until his death in 1975. This blanket is one of the last ones made by him. There are no more King Ranch blankets. The saddle blanket is $6,500.00

You will note that I also own a Running W branding iron and a new lariat. This lariat was hand made for "Mr. Bob". "Mr. Bob" would have his lariats made to his specification and likeness. This lariat has never been used. It had been mounted for display and never uncoiled.
I own a two book set of The King Ranch by Tom Lea published 1957 . This set of books recount the history of the King Ranch, the Kings, the Klebergs, and what made the King Ranch such a great part of U.S. and Texas history.
These King Ranch items would be a rare addition to anyone's collection of Western memorabilia. A serious collector would be welcome to view the items. You can email me at TexasPygmy@gmail.com.
